Alice Lynn Ash, 71, passed away at 2:50 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2018 at St. Anthony's Health Center in Alton.

She was born September 29, 1946 in Alton. Lynn was the daughter of Allen Dale and Carrie (Freeman) Fulkerson Flackus.

Gary Gerson of Brighton and Lynn were companions for 20 plus years.

When Lynn was 15 years old, she started working for the Alton Mental State Hospital. She worked her way up to a Patient Care Tech,   Administration and Head of Resources.  Having worked for 42 years, at age 57 Alice retired.

Survivors include two daughters & one son-in-law, Deborah Ash of Wood River, Kym and David Ragusa of East Alton; three grandchildren, Latavia Jo Harley and her Fiancé Kiana French of Wood River, Tyler Ash of East Alton, Bailey Lavender and her Fiancé Tyler Danback of Arnold, MO; two great-grandchildren, Xavier Thomas of Wood River, Sophia Ash of East Alton.

Besides her parent's, Lynn was preceded in death by one brother, Van Alan Fulkerson; one grandchild, Baby Edward Hornberger.

Lynn was a member of the East Alton American Legion, Wood River VFW Post #2859 and was the Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary.

A celebration of Lynn's life will begin at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 15, 2018, until service time of 11:30 a.m. at Gray Funeral Home in Wood River.

Rev. Stephen Gray will officiate.

Burial will be private.

Memorials may be given to Cardinal Glennon Hospital in St. Louis, MO

Lynn will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
