Obituary

Carl Foster Day, 66, passed away at 2:30 p.m. Friday, July 3, 2020 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis, with his family by his side.

Carl was born on July 9, 1953 in Alton.  He was a son of the late Henry Kenneth and Elsie (Herring) Day.

Although they were divorced, he and Jean M. Day of Godfrey, have remained friends and Jean has been by his side throughout his illness.

Carl was a member of the Lovejoy United Presbyterian Church in Wood River and taught the Adult Sunday School Class for many years.

Carl was a natural teacher.  He had taught in the School Districts for 30 years before retiring.

Survivors include two sons, John A. Day of Kansas City, MO, Nicholas & Sara Day of Klamath Falls Oregon; one grandchild, Elsie M. Day also of Klamath Falls, Oregon.

Besides his parents, Carl was preceded in death by one brother, Gordan Windsor.

Although the family will be having a private memorial service for Carl at Lovejoy United Presbyterian Church in Wood River, it will be possible for friends to see the live broadcast at 3:00 p.m., July 9, 2020 by clicking the link at www.lovejoyupc.org/carlday .

Rev. Daniel Ervin will officiate.

Carl will be missed by family and friends.
