David A. Hester, 66, passed away at 12:20 a.m., Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Robings Manor Rehab and Health Care in Brighton.

David was born on November 10, 1954 in Wood River. He was a son of the late Samuel R. and Cora E. (Spencer) Hester.

David and the former Janece "Jan" Fry were married November 21, 1987.  Jan passed away November 19, 2015.

For many years David worked in Automotive Parts for the Advance Auto Parts Company.

David was a member of the Freedom Worship Center in Pontoon Beach.

Survivors include a son, Chris and Courtney Hester of Roxana, four grandchildren, Myles Hester of Texas, Kuper, Kael & Mollie Hester all of Roxana; two sisters, Geneva and Sonny Downing of Roxana, Shirley and Ron Renner of Troy, IL; one brother, Carl and Sheila Hester of West Plains, MO.

A celebration of David's life will be Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Gray Funeral Home in Wood River.  Rev. Gary Cook will officiate.

Due to the new Covid restrictions, the services will be private.

Memorials may be given to the Freedom Worship Center.
