Granite City - Deltie K. Foiles Renfro, 77, passed away at 1:35 pm, Tuesday, Jan 14, 2014 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville. She was born on Sep 15, 1936 in Prescott, AR to the late Orla N. and Allie M. (Elmore) Schafer . Deltie married Howard L. Foiles, he passed away July 10, 1991, she then married Junius L. Renfro Oct 30, 1999 in Granite City. He survives. She was a homemaker and member of Peace Free Will Baptist Church in Granite City. Also surviving is a son, Howard E. Foiles of Edwardsville; 2 step-daughters, Marilyn and Ron Boatwright of Granite City, Vickie and Steve Willhite of Texas; one step-son , Darrell and Linda Renfro of Edwardsville,; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Alice Brown of Texas and Virgie Curvey of Alton; 2 brothers, Elvin and Shirley Shafer of Texas and Melvin Shafer of Washington. Besides her parents and Howard, she was preceded in death by a step-son, Larry Renfro. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, at Gray Funeral Home in Wood River where services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Corey Penn officiating. Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
