EAST ALTON ? Dona B. Fry, 82, died at 11:05 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at Alton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Born July 24, 1931 in Narka, Kansas, she was the daughter of Anton and Evelyn (Craig) Dolezal. She Married Harold David Fry on January 22, 1950 in Fairbury, Nebraska. He died May 1, 2009. She was a homemaker. Surviving are, one daughter Jan and David Hester of East Alton; one son, Jerry E. and Phillis Fry of Little Rock, Ark.; former daughter-in-law, Becky and Bob Brandes of East Alton; three grandchildren, Linda (Fry) and Tim Myers of Kearney, MO, Carrie (Fry) and Sean Cruse of Portage, IN, Lori (Fry) and Ben McGhee of Godfrey; nine great-grandchildren, Rachel, Sarah and Jacob Myers of Kearney, MO, Elizabeth, Nathen, Alivia and Mason Cruse of Portage, IN, Josephine and Christian McGhee of Godfrey; four sisters. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Ronald Fry; two sisters and four brothers. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Services and burial is scheduled at a later date in Narka, Kansas. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
