Donald E. Muench, 66, passed away at 4:40 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2020 at his residence.

Don was born February 7, 1954 in East St. Louis. He was a son of the late Joseph and Berneda (Price) Muench.

He worked in construction for the Contegra Construction Company in Edwardsville, retiring after several years of service.

Don liked to work out, he enjoyed doing yoga and liked to work on cars.  He had a great work ethic and took pride in being able to out work 20 year old men.  Don loved his church and his church family at Discovery Family Church in Collinsville, where he was a member.

Survivors include three daughters, Angel Muench of Columbia, Dawn Burns Marentette of Potosi, MO, Heather Muench of Highland; one son Chad Muench of Michigan; one sister, Cheryl Berkemann of Swansea; his beloved Aunt Grace Brooke of Caseyville, who was like a second mother to him.  She had her hands full at keeping Don in line and was always there for him to call if he needed something or wanted to talk.  She will miss Don calling her mom, along with his hugs.

Besides his parents, Don was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Muench.

Because of the Covid-19, Don's services will be private on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Discovery Family Church in Collinsville.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials be given to Discovery Family Church in Collinsville.

Don will be very sadly miss by his family and friends.
