Roxana,
Frances Pauline Patterson, 89, passed away at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, February 25, 2016 at the home of her daughter Alice in Alton.

Born September 28, 1926 in Rouse Point, NY, she was a daughter of the late James Gardarner and Edith Beatrice (Babbin) Wilson.

Frances married Donald Eugene Patterson in 1945 at Rouse Point. She had been a homemaker and they were blessed to have 60 years together before he passed away on May 6, 2005.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Ann and John Bilbruck of Brighton, Alice Ehlers of Macoupin County; three sons, Larry Eugene and Janice Patterson, Sr. of Inver Groves Heights, Minn, Paul Robert Patterson of New Douglas, James Allen and Kathy Patterson of Macoupin County; eleven grandchildren, Marie, Larry, Jr., Michael, Amy, Steven, Bobby, Daniel, Stacy, Angle, Dawn, Tim; 25 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Edith Ernest of West Virginia, Beatrice Wilson of, Miss; one brother Clarence Wilson of Ocean Spring, Miss.

Besides Donald and her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Sue Cherry; one sister, Evelyn Wilson; three brothers James , Lewis and John Wilson.

We will celebrate the life of Frances from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Gray Funeral Home in Wood River.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 29, 2016 at Gray Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Gray will officiate.

Burial will be at Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana.

Memorials may be given to that of one's choice.
