Francis Louis Mukite, Jr., 42 yrs old, passed away at home March 18, 2019 in Godfrey.

Frankie was born July 6, 1976 in Chicago, to the late Francis Louis Mukite, Sr. and Kathy Lynn Mukite.

Frankie was a loving husband, father, son and brother.  Frankie enjoyed crafting with wood, fishing, collecting everything, being silly and making people laugh and he would have you in stitches.

Frankie could be a complicated soul but when it came to family, he was the self- proclaimed protector of us all.  He would give all he could when asked and asked nothing but to be loved and accepted, but it was being a stay at home father that brought him the most joy.  Frankie was an amazing and loving father.  Anytime you came to his and Dena's home, you could catch Frankie sitting back in pure amazement and joy watching and savoring every moment of his son's happy, loved and giggled filled lives.

Frankie leaves behind his loving wife and best friend, Dena Mukite and their children, Francis L. Mukite, III, Asher L. Mukite, Levi L. Mukite, Devon Mitchell, Blake Foster, Nova Hurd, Marissa Lovelace, his mother Kathy Mukite and his 5 sibblings, Dana Mukite, James Mukite, Crystal Mukite, Jonathan Montague and Zachary Montague.  He was also the proud uncle of Tanner, Preston, Xavier and Aspen.

Frankie's goofiness, laughter and love for his family will be missed, but we can find peace in that his soul is now at rest.

A celebration of Frankie's life will begin at 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2019 at Gray Funeral Home in Wood River.
