Georgia Kay Pfeiffer, 75, of Alton, passed away at 1:35 a.m. Monday, January 30, 2023 at Bria of Alton.

Born September 20, 1947 in Wood River, she was a daughter of the late George S. and Nellie Gertrude (Thaxton) Moore.

Georgia married George H. Pfeiffer who passed away on October 4, 2006.

For 15 years, Georgia had worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at a nursing home in Indiana where she had previously lived.

Some of her favorite things to do was watching Golf tournaments. She loved to crochet, play bingo and was good at crafts.

Survivors include two sisters, Carolyn and John Powers of Crown Point, IN, Marsha Willeford of Bethalto; one brother, David S. and Susie Moore of Westerville, OH; six nieces; five Nephews; several great nieces and nephews.

Also preceding Georgia in death is one sister, Mary Pat Davis; one brother-in-law, Lester Willeford.

Georgia will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Services will be private. Gray Funeral Home in Wood River is in charge of arrangements.
