Obituary

Ginger Mae Vandiver, 86, passed away at 3:50 a.m., Saturday March 28, 2020 at Riverside Rehab and Healthcare in Alton, with her family by her side.

She was born March 26, 1934 in Wood River and was a daughter of the late Judson B. Hargis and Louise (Lehman) Hargis Greeling.

Ginger and John Lee Fudurich were married and had two daughters. He passed away.  She then married Calvin Vandiver in Alton.  He also passed away in March of 1987.

Ginger was a hard worker and had many skills.  She was a secretary for the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 553 in East Alton, owned the Orchid Dry Cleaners in Peoria, IL, was office manager for Dr. Siddiqui in Wood River and worked at the Wood River Doughnut shop retiring after 20 years.

Survivors include two daughters, Lori and Michael Tappy of Wood River, Lisa and Darrell Clendenny of East Alton; five grandchildren, Amy Tappy, Amber Tappy and Ben Doolin, Nealy and Josh Budde, Jenni Clendenny, Kelli Clendenny-Squires; six great-grandchildren, Jadan Clendenny, Rae Lee Kimbro, Jacob Kimbro, Jaxson McBride, Chase Doolin, Kaitlyn Squires and is expecting one great-great- grandchild.

Along with John, Calvin and her parent's, Ginger was preceded in death by her sister, Janet Wells.

Due to the present Covid-19 Pandemic, Gingers services will be private at this time at Gray Funeral Home in Wood River with Rev. Stephen Gray officiating.

Burial will be at Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana.
