Jean S. McDonough, 89, passed away at 4:40 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at Alton Memorial Rehab and Therapy in Alton.

Jean was born September 26, 1930 in Sandoval.  She was a daughter of the late Prince Albert and Jimmie (Staford) Love.

She and Francis E. McDonough were married on April 29, 1950 in South Roxana. Sadly Francis passed away January 20, 2010.

Jean worked as an Executive Secretary for The Boeing Company in St. Louis, MO for 36 years, retiring in 1992.

Jean is survived by a daughter, Jayme S. Turner of Alton; a grandchild, Keely N. Younger of Bethalto; two great-grandchildren, Aurora and Chloe Younger.

Besides Francis, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Jodean Cooke; two sisters, Josephine Northrup and Maxine Wasmer; one brother, Larry Love.

Due to the restrictions at this time, the services for Jean will be private on Monday July 13, 2020 at Gray Funeral Home in Wood River.  Rev. Stephen Gray will officiate.

Burial will follow at Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana.
