Jeffrey Lee Allen, 72, passed away at 1:20 a.m., Thursday, February 18, 2021 at OSF St. Anthony's Health Center in Alton.

Jeffrey was born October 8, 1948 in Portsmouth, OH.  He was the son of the late Albert W. Allen and Verla (Johnson) Dudley.

An Army Veteran, Jeffrey was a self-employed Automotive Mechanic and had worked as maintenance in an apartment complex.

Survivors include two daughters, April Jeanette Meyer and her Husband James of Wood River of which he had moved this year from Florida to live with, Melissa Price of Pensacola, FL; one son Jeffrey John Allen of Alton; two grandchildren, Marissa and Gage Meyer of Wood River; two sisters, Vicki Kempfer of Melbourne, FL, Betsy Huffman of Melbourne, FL.

Besides his parents, Jeffrey was preceded in death by a brother, Craig Allen.

Services will be private.

Gray Funeral Home in Wood River is in charge of arrangements.
