Joseph Max Ryan, 66 of Collinsville, passed away at 11:36 a.m. Saturday, February 10, 2024 at his daughter's home in Highland.
Born October 31, 1957 in Charleston, WV. He was a son of the late Michael and Bernita Ann (Brim) Ryan.
Max worked with dry-wall for John Bender, Inc. Construction Company for 38 years, retiring in 2009. After retiring, Max worked as a school bus driver for the Collinsville School District and worked at Splash City in Collinsville. He loved to see families having fun.
Max was a member of the Carpenter's Union #185 in St. Louis, MO. He was also an active member of Discovery Family Church in Collinsville. He attended the Men's Group, Bible study and helped with other activities around the church. His carpentry skills were used for remodeling at the church and Collinsville Food Pantry where he was a volunteer.
Survivors include one daughter, Rachelle A. (Ryan) Stewart and Chad of Highland; two grandchildren, Zachary Stewart of Highland, Chloe Stewart of Highland; two sisters, Peggy Kolakowski and Rod of Ida, MI, Teresa Gallo of Toledo, OH; four brothers, Rick Ryan and Dolly of Camden, MI, Andre Ryan of Terra Haute, IN, Bob Ryan of Tahlequah, OK, Don Ryan of Goldsboro, NC; many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parent's, Max was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Ryan.
A memorial life celebration for Max will begin at 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. service time on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Discovery Family Church, 699 South Bluff Rd, Collinsville.
Pastor Steve Gray will officiate.
Max was loved and will be sadly missed by family and friends.
Memorials may be given to the family.
