June Lyvonne Satterfield, 89 of Alton, passed into the arms of God at 1:30 A.M. Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Jerseyville Manor in Jerseyville.

Born on June 24, 1936 in Zalma, MO, she was a daughter of the late William and Minnie (Younger) Withers.

Lee W. Satterfield and June were married on August 5, 1955 in East Alton. Lee has passed away.

June worked in the Diatetic Office of Wood River Township Hospital for 17 years before retiring in 1991.

Survivors include one son, Timothy Satterfield of Alton; one sister, Brenda Yates of Godfrey; nephews Perry Yates and Jill of Bunker Hill, Phillip Yates and Mandy of Bunker Hill; many nieces and nephews.

Besides Lee and her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Deborah Satterfield; one sister and brother-in-law Pauline and Norville Beckman; one brother Lindell Withers.

A celebration of June’s life will begin at 10:00 A.M. until service time at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Gray Funeral Home in Wood River with Michael Yates officiating.

Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.

Memorials have been designated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
