Obituary

Kathleen Sue Sheahan, 65, passed away peacefully at 6 pm, Thursday, April 26, 2012, at home with family by her side. She was born January 11, 1947 in Peoria to Rev. Glenn A. and Martha (Knapp) Jordan. She grew up in the Peoria/Pekin area. Kathleen and Albert V. Sheahan were married by her father, on November 7, 1978 in Spanish Lake, Mo. The couple enjoyed 33 wonderful years together. He died March 8, 2012 Kathi, as she was called by family and friends, was an outstanding mother and wife. Her love for playing bingo overflowed, hooking daughter Chris and granddaughter Heather. She loved everything Elvis, especially listing to his music. She and Al traveled, visiting their favorite destinations along with baseball and Elvis. Kathi adored her children and grandchildren, always being available to offer advice, encouragement or a shoulder to lean on. Her life with Al & family was filled with joy, trials, adventures and above all, love. Her great-grandchildren were very special to her and she will always be remembered as their g-g-ma. She will be greatly missed by her daughter and son-in-law, Chris and Joe Greenberg of Alton; 2 sons and daughter-in-law, Mark and Laurie Ing of Godfrey, Jeromey Bollinger of Wood River; eight grandchildren, Heather and Kieth Gallup, Catelyn Blackwell, Nick and Autum Greenberg, Joseph Ing, Jessica Ing, Jordan Ing, Rachel Bollinger and Jacob Ing; four great-grandchildren, Keigan Gallup, Haylea Greenberg, Braeden Scoggins and Zoei Greenberg; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Rebecca and Clyde Just of Bremerton, WA, Deborah Morelli of Canton and Dennis Sheahan of Florissant, MO.; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Matthew E. Ing and a sister, Judith A. Williams. Visitation will be from 11 am, Tuesday, May 1, 2012, until service time of 1 pm, at Gray Funeral Home in Wood River. Rev. Dan Smith will officiate. Burial will be at Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana. Memorials are that of one?s choice.
