Kay "Kaye" Arlene (Lockwood) Miller, age 87 of Edwardsville, passed away at 5:55 p.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois.

Kaye was born August 16, 1936, in Elmira, New York.  She was the daughter of the late Charles and Charlotte (Englewood) Lockwood.  Following High School, she served in the U.S. Air Force.

Kaye and Patrick B. Miller were married on Oct. 6th 1984 in San Antonio Texas, and resided in rural Lake McQueeney Texas until 2019. They both enjoyed the Texas culture and cuisine.  Pat passed away January 6, 2024.

Kaye loved Pat, her children and grandchildren, and their dog Feo.  A homemaker most of her life, she enjoyed hosting her family and friends for holidays and special events. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and crafting. Both she and Pat very much liked to travel, and made many road trips over the years to all parts of the country.

Kaye is survived by her daughters Carolee D. Wright and Merilee B. Patak, and son Richard Shirley Jr, as well as her stepdaughters Amanda Miller of University Place, Washington and Erin Santana (Miller) of Tacoma, Washington.

Besides Pat and her parents Kaye was preceded in death by her brother Douglas (Dougie) and her son Kenneth Shirley.

A celebration of life will be held later for her family.
