Laura Louise Doolittle, 53, passed away at 7:45 a.m., Wednesday July 17, 2019 at her residence.

Laura was born November 8, 1965 in Pittsfield.  She was a daughter of the late Linda L. (James) Hileman Ballenger and step-father Les Ballenger.

She worked for 4 years as a Fork Lift Operator for CDS Logistics Industry.  For 30 years, Laura mixed a mean drink as a Bartender in various establishments in the Alton area.

Laura had cute little sayings like "normal is just a cycle on a washing machine" and "it is what it is".  She was a hard worker, loved nature, gardening, motorcycles and especially her Yorkie's, Sissy and Pippy.

Laura is survived by one son, Zach Forsting and Courtney Moorefield of Hartford; one granddaughter, Rosalee Louise Forsting of Hartford; one step-brother, Les Ballinger, Jr., of Jacksonville.

Besides her mother and step-father, Laura was preceded in death by a brother, Andy Hileman.

A memorial celebration of Laura's life will begin at 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Gray Funeral Home in Wood River.

Burial will be private.

Memorials may be given to that of one's choice.
