Michael Dooley ALTON Michael Dooley, 62, died at 10:40 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at St. Clare's Hospital. He was born on Sept. 17, 1950, in Wood River, son to Henry Gene and Delores Lee (Ballard) Dooley. He worked as a laborer for the Local 218 in Alton and was a member there for 40 years. He retired in 2000. He was an Army Veteran from 1969 until 1971. He is survived by one daughter, Katie Merritt of Alton; two sons, Kenneth Dooley of Boise, Idaho, and Michael Dooley of Alton; three grandchildren; and one brother, Dan Dooley of Bethalto. He was preceded in death by a sister, Adella Dooley. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, at Gray Funeral Home in Wood River.
