Richard Duwain McKee, 63 of Roxana, passed away at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 30, 2025 at Autumn Meadows Rehabilitation in Cahokia.

Richard was born on February 13,1961 in Cape Girardeau, MO.  He was a son of the late Arnold "Wayne" D.  McKee and Sandra J. (Prater) McKee of Hartford.

Richard was a Sanitation Worker for Jones Sanitation in Brighton.  He worked for several years before retiring in 2023.

He was a US Marine Corps Veteran who was proud to have served his country.  Richard had a Rifle Sharpshooter Badge, Pistol Marksmanship Badge and a Sea Service Deployment Ribbon.

Along with his mother, Richard is survived by one sister, Valerie Eyer and Dennis of Wood River; one brother, David McKee and Sandy of Godfrey; he was uncle to Candi and Jessica Eyer, Lindsey and Austin McKee; great Nephew, Gavin Eyer.

A celebration of Richard's life will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at Gray Funeral Home in Wood River.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 6, 2025 at Gray Funeral Home. Pastor Sonny Renken will officiate.

Burial will follow at Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana.

Military Rites will be afforded by Alton VFW Post 1308.

Richard will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
