Ruth Eleanor (Weller) Campbell, 95, died at 7:10 a.m., Tuesday Sept. 6, 2022 at Dolan Memory Care Homes in Creve Coeur, MO.

Ruth was born July 14, 1927 in Raymond, IL.  She was a daughter of the late Otto and Genevia L. (Towling) Weller.

She married Wayne Dale Campbell on June 23, 1946 in Coffeen, IL.  Wayne died Feb. 2, 2017.

Ruth was the owner-operator of Campbell's Beauty Shop in Wood River, retiring after 32 years.

She was passed Noble Grand Rebekah Lodge and Passed Cheif of Wood River Phythian Sisters.

Survivors include two sons, Larry & Connie (Noel) Campbell of St. Charles, MO, James & Christine (Rubin) Campbell of Sunset Hills, MO; five grandchildren, Kevin Campbell of Cottleville, MO, Kristen & Alan Poock of St. Peters, MO, Elizabeth & Ben Woodley of Affton, MO, Laura & Matt Lange of Indianapolis, IN, David Campbell of St. Louis, MO; five great grandchildren, James Joseph Woodley of Affton, Corey, Kaitlyn Poock of St. Peters, Charles, Grace Lange of Indianapolis.

Besides Wayne & her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Evans, Annvernette Weller; three brothers, Roy, Robert & Howard Weller.

A life celebration for Ruth will be at 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. service time, Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022 at Gray Funeral Home in Wood River.  Rev Toby Curtright will officiate.

Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 12, 2022 at the Asbury Cemetery in Raymond, IL.

Memorials may be given to the donor's choice of charities.
