Virginia Mae Ellis, 70, passed away at 11:05 a.m. Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.

Virginia was born on July 4, 1950 in East St. Louis, IL. She was a daughter of the late Tom and Theresa (Hartman) Herrington.

She and Mark S. Ellis were married February 14, 1987 in Belleville and he survives.

Virginia worked as a Bar Tender for the American Legion in Fairmont City for 20 years.

Survivors include one daughter, Lisa R. Walters of Southern IL; one son, Donald R. and Kerin Walters, II of Collinsville; four grandchildren, Chelsea Walters, Donald Walters, III, Cody Jones, Cameron Walters all of Collinsville; two great-grandchildren, Hayden Allen Reising, Meredith Walters; one brother, Harold Gene Herrington of Charleston, SC.

Virginia was preceded in death by a daughter, Crystal Dawn Walters.

Services will be private.
