Wanda Greer WOOD RIVER Wanda Rene Greer, 80, died at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at her residence. Born May 27, 1932, in Columbus, Ky., she was the daughter of John Paul and Christine (James) Jones. She married Paul R. Greer Dec. 26, 1953, in Mississippi. He survives. She was a homemaker and worked in the cafeteria at East Alton-Wood River High for four years. Survivors are two sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Trula Greer of Drexel, N.C., and Bruce and Sheree Greer of Graceland, Ky.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, Lonnie Jones of Wood River. She was a member of New Testament Missionary Baptist Church in Wood River. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, at Gray Funeral Home in Wood River, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, with Pastor Bob McCrorey officiating. Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto. Memorial in lieu of flowers may be made to the Heartland Hospice.
