Willa "Billie" Chamberlain, 61 died at 9:13 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 22, 2007, at her residence.
She was born June 30, 1946, in Traverse City, Mich., to Tedford J. and Wanda M. (Wheat) Lane.
Her marriage to Thomas Chamberlain took place on March 19, 1971, in Madison, Ill. He survives.
The retired teacher had taught at St. Boniface School, Catholic Children's Home in Alton and Wood River-East Alton High School. She was a member of the Temple Baptist Church of Madison.
In addition to her husband, survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Thomas H. and Terri Chamberlain of Wood River; three grandchildren, Jacoby, Madison Carol Chamberlain, and Alexis Marie Chamberlain, all of Wood River; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Teddi and Ronnie Slayden of Bunker Hill, Angie Webster of Roxana and Jennifer Brueggeman of Wood River.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Gray Funeral Home in Wood River, where the Rev. Michael Signorelli will officiate at funeral services at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Burial will be at Hand Cemetery in Macoupin County.
